I initiated the Cape Town Weather Watch, in Cape Town, South Africa, on 1 Jan 1995 after public demand ! I used to work in the Oceanography Department as a meteorological research officer and belonged to the Climate and Weather Research Laboratory (CWRL) within the Oceanography department at the University of Cape Town (UCT). However, I am currently in the USA, in Charlottesville, Virginia, at the University of Virginia doing a PhD degree.

I initiated this weather site in the USA, in November 1995 and WeatherScape in 1997. Organized Weather links is a site containing the best links to North American Weather and now, global weather links.

My field of interest is applied synoptic climatology with emphasis on intra-seasonal oscillation (ISO) variability of climatic parameters within the subtropics of the southern African region. Well this is what I do when I am serious....

BTW - I now live in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA where I am doing my PhD in Atmospheric Science at the University of Virginia.
